Playlist: February 2013

IMG_2113

I have wanted to make playlists for this blog for ages, and this morning I was having a read around Skeletory‘s blog (amazing blog, check it out) and I realised that Soundcloud allow you to make sets!? I don’t know why I never realised this before, as I’ve listened to loads of sets but never thought about making one.

So this first playlist is a summary of my favourite tracks of this last month. Be prepared for playlists for every occasion, festival and season of the year. Looking back, it’s been a good month for music. Ahhhh…

New Treat #156: Tempers

Brooklyn band Tempers is made up of Jasmine Golestaneh and Eddie Cooper. Their music sits somewhere between post punk and electronica and they are currently releasing music on Pendu Sound Recordings (the same label as STARRED). The a-side to the single Eyes Wide Wider is an incredible debut from the duo and makes me incredibly excited to hear more. B-side Hell Hotline is not as much to my taste but shows a different side of the band with a female vocal taking the lead.

If anyone is over in the states then check out some of their upcoming tour dates here.
