Wilsen- Dusk

More gorgeousness from Brooklyn based singer Wilsen, this time in the form of ‘Dusk’. The track will be released as a single on June 10th, based with a cover of Grimes’ ‘Oblivion’ (cannot wait to hear that).

Parlour- My Love

Parlour is the project of Angela Won-Yin who used to play guitar in Carousels. This is the only track we have so far, but in all it’s gorgeousness, it shows some great potential for the future. Parlour also plays the Great Escape next weekend (watch out for the Saturday guide coming soon for when and where).

Boardwalk- I’m to Blame

Boardwalk are from Los Angeles and will release their debut album this summer. ‘I’m to Blame’ is beautiful, summery wooziness.

Wildeflower- Nothing Happens

It’s been a while since we’ve heard some new music from Wildeflower, the project of Maximillian Kinghorn-Mills. Last years single ‘Good Girl/Amazing Discovery’ was a beautiful introduction to the psychedelic-folk world of the band. Now they are back with a new 4-track EP, ‘Harbour & Good Company’, which is set to be released on June 10th via Stella Mortos. You can pre-order the 10″ here.

This first offering from the EP is somewhat gentler than last year’s single. The rawness of the record even reminding me of some of the work on The Beatles Anthology records. It’s this aesthetic which makes the song so satisfying, it almost feels like it’s floating.

Hella Better Dancer- Sleep (demo)

Hella Better Dancer are easily one of London’s best unsigned bands. Constantly gigging, their live show is something pretty special, and their ‘Living Room’ EP was one of my favourite releases of last year.

‘Sleep’ is a little rough around the edges (what do you expect from a demo), but the glittery guitar and the echoic ‘ah-ah-ah’ shows incredible promise for some brilliant new material to come.
