Tashaki Miyaki were supposed to release their debut album sometime over the summer. It never happened and why I don’t know. Usually these things are delayed by switching labels, delaying marketing etc. but with Tashaki Miyaki there is no clue.So I’m holding out that 2013 is the year the record is released, and I’m hoping it’s great!
Their sound resembled Big Deal, Warpaint but mostly grungy 90′s girl bands, drenched in love stories and floating melancholic vocals. It’s all so simple, yet so effective and I think that could bring them good things.
