For fans of The National and Fleet Foxes, meet your new favourite band, Other Lives. The writing is down to singer/composer and bandleader Jesse Tabish, whose unusual instrumental choices make new album ‘Tamer Animals’ a stunning listen. The band hail from Oklahoma, and it could possibly be the isolation from cities like LA and NYC which has played a crucial factor in the beauty of this second album. Mixing orchestral instruments, harmonies and catchy and beautifully written songs, Other Lives are onto a winner. The production on the record is also extremely good. ‘Tamer Animals’ is released on August 29th on Play it Again Sam.
