At only 16 Misty Miller is quite astonishing. Her sweet, witty songs are written on just a ukelele perfectly accompanied by the voice of an angel. Yesterday her debut EP was released and you can buy it on iTunes now or get a free download from her myspace. The south Londoner is strongly inspired by the likes of Elvis, Dylan and Dusty Springfield yet her sound is folk-pop resembling Emmy the Great or past new treat Georgia Bruce. Her music is accessible and I can see it having lots of radio airplay in the future but her soulful voice and lyricism make it difficult not to fall in love with her and I hope she will inspire many audiences. She plays a gig in London tonight at The Cobden Club and you can visit her myspace page here.
